How long does the booking process take?

Booking through either Airbnb or VRBO is almost immediate.  However booking directly at this time may take a day or so as we will need to confirm the dates are available and receive payment for those dates in order to reserve the dates.  We will soon have an automated process where guests can book directly immediately without requiring an Airbnb or Vrbo account.

What methods of payment accepted?

Airbnb and Vrbo accept all major credit cards.  Reservations that are made directly or in person can be done with all major credit cards, cash or check.

Can I have an event or wedding at The Hamilton Mansion?

The Hamilton Mansion allows reservations for events and weddings.  There is a large terrace off the rear of the mansion that features a sunken garden, porch, and plenty of space for seating.  There is also availability to host large groups or weddings indoors as well.  We recommend reaching out to us directly to discuss your event/wedding so we can schedule a time for you to come visit and tour the mansion in person.  Contact us.

How many bedrooms does the mansion have?

The Hamilton Mansion features 9 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 20 guests.  The Hamilton Suite off the west wing of the second floor features 2 bedrooms, living area with fireplace and shared bathroom.

Can I schedule a visit of the mansion before booking?

Yes!  You can reach out to us directly to setup a time to tour The Hamilton Mansion.  Contact Us.

Booking Questions

Can I make changes to a pending reservation request?

Once we receive these change/modification requests we will review and process them immediately based on our cancellation policy.  Please let us know of any changes as soon as possible to avoid any inconveniences.

Reservations made through Airbnb will need to be modified/changed using your Airbnb App or online through Airbnb.

Reservations made through Vrbo will need to be modified/changed using your Vrbo App or online through Vrbo.

Reservations made directly through us can be changed/modified by contacting us directly here.

Change/modifications requests are subject to the cancellation policy:

Travelers who cancel at least 30 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount you’ve paid. Cancellation requests between 14 and 24 days before check-in is a 50% refund. Cancellations less than 14 days to check-in may be subject to no refunds given. Please let us know as soon as possible if you may need to cancel to avoid any issues.

The cancellation policy is generally the same for Airbnb, Vrbo and direct reservations.

Airbnb – Reservations made through Airbnb can view the cancellation policy through the Airbnb App or online through Airbnb.

VRBO – Reservations made through Vrbo can view the cancellation policy through the Vrbo App or online through Vrbo.

Direct Reservations – The cancellation policy is listed on the reservation page details and will also be emailed with the reservation confirmation.

How do I find my reservation?

Direct reservations will receive automated notifications regarding your upcoming reservation as well as check-in instructions and additional information.  You should have received an email confirming your reservation through Smartbnb/Hospitable.  You can contact us for any information or details regarding your reservation.

When am I charged for a reservation?

Airbnb – Charged immediately to reserve the dates selected.

VRBO – Charged immediately to reserve the dates selected.

Direct Booking – Charged immediately to reserve the dates selected.

When booking directly if the invoice/payment isn’t received within 7 days of received invoice then we will unblock the selected dates for other reservations.  Please submit payment or reach out to us directly to make sure your dates are reserved for you.

What fees are involved in the reservation?

Airbnb – Reservations through Airbnb are subject to additional fees that Airbnb imposes.  Besides the Airbnb fees, the other fees include the following:
